OUR HISTORY
THE BEGINNING
2015-2016
The Robotics Club at the NIHF STEM High School was found in 2015. Four students, John Krochka, Jason Smith, Isaac Krisch, and Seth Rummel, formed the club with Coach Appleby. They competed in Fruit Frenzy, a game created by Firestone High School to spike robotics interest. They won and started planning how to expand the club the next year.

STARSTRUCK
2016-2017
The plan to expand the club began with selecting a competition to compete in. Coach Appleby and the club decided to compete in Vex Robotics. They received the number "60883" to represent our club.
While this was happening, the club recruited new members and grew in size. They formed into three teams: 60883A, 60883B, and 60883C. These teams went to a total of three events, not qualifying for the tournament portion in any of them.
IN THE ZONE
2017-2018
We had a total of four teams. We went to a total of five events and gained valuable experience. 60883A managed to go to the finals at a competition once and was eliminated at the quarter-finals three times.

This was the biggest year yet. Our club grew juristically in size, adding two new teams. We got a robotics lab, which gave us more space and time to work on our bots. We won our first awards and ended with a total of 14 awards. For the first time ever, we were represented in the States competition, having five teams there.

For the first time ever, we had a team qualify for the Worlds competition. 60883A qualified off skills at the Night at the Museum event in February. At Worlds they went 7-3-1, ending 25th in their division.
